- The MSE Program Coordinator (appointed by the MMAE
Department Chair) is Dr. Kevin Coffey, a member of both
the MMAE department and AMPAC. Dr. Coffey’s office is
in room 381D of the Engineering I building, his phone
number is 407 823-2175 and his email address is krcoffey@mail.ucf.edu.
- The MSE Program Assistant is Cynthia Harle. Her office
is in room 381 of the Engineering I building, her phone
number is 407 882-1466 and her email address is charle@mail.ucf.edu.
- All MSE program students are required to have a “Program
of Study” form completed and approved after their first
9 credit hours in their program. Links to the “Program
of Study” forms can be found here
- MSE doctoral students are required to pass a written
qualifying examination. This examination is given twice
a year, in the Fall and in the Spring semesters. The
exam typically consists of a 4 hour closed book portion
the first day and a 4 hour open book portion the second
day. The Fall exam is usually given on the Monday and
Tuesday immediately preceding the Thanksgiving holiday
and the Spring exam typically given on the Monday and
Tuesday immediately following UCF spring break week.
